This is the key appointment for a stunning Eastern Region STEM learning project.
Our vision is to make Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths accessible, exciting and relevant. In April 2010 we open our purpose-built visitor centre/learning gallery in Harlow, within the brand new LeisureZone sports and leisure complex - a unique facility.
Our target group will be learners from 4 to 104 years of age from among the 6m people; 1000 schools and thousands of businesses within a short drive of our new centre.
What’s in it for them? It will be your job and your privilege to explain and persuade, by developing our offer ....
What’s in it for you?
You will have the leading role in developing a unique visitor attraction.
You will contribute to regional economic regeneration.
You will help put Harlow on the map as an ambitious community.
You'll enjoy a creative and rewarding role in charge of a new team.
The SA board of Trustees will offer the right candidate a good starting salary including performance bonuses.
We will also provide you with support and advice and access to a rich pool of existing expertise.
Science Alive uses STEM - Science Technology Engineering and Maths ideas to encourage interest and careers involving creativity, invention and design. Plans are well-advanced for a new hands-on learning centre serving London & the Eastern Region to open in 2010.
Ideal candidates for the team will have a strong creative background and a passion for communicating the big interest and big issues of the world around us.

Volunteering Opportunities
Why not join the friendly and enthusiastic team that supports Science Alive. The brand new visitor centre at Harlow Leisure Zone will be opening this year and we would welcome more volunteers to help run the centre. All you need to do is bring your enthusiasm. We will teach you anything else you need to know!
The National Learner Panel is now recruiting for members to serve on the 2009 - 10 panel. Up to twenty learners aged 16 years or older who are in further education are recruited every year. The panel members provide a learner perspective to government on further education policy, based on their own experiences in learning and their ideas for improving learning in the future.
